Finally it’s here..! Google Street View is live in Toronto
October 7th, 2009
Google began filming Street View images in the Canadian cities since 2007 and as of today Oct 7th 2009, residents of Toronto city can check out their streets, homes and neighbourhoods on Google Street View.
There were a lot concerns raised by privacy advocates about security but Google has blurred faces, licence plates and some of the street ads on the Google Street View of every house and in GTA, Hamilton and Kitchener.
How they do it?
Take a look at the vehicle that’s looking at you!

This Google car is one of Immersive Media’s camera wielding cars, a Volkswagen New Beetle. Google’s car is populating the new Street View function with pictures of major cities, or as Immersive Media calls it: 360° georeferenced spherical video.
Street View was available in the United States and several other countries across Europe and in Australia and Japan.
